Hip Hip Hooray for the Queen!

by powellcraft on April 24, 2012

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations are nearing and we have had a flurry of orders for our bunting and Union Jack products. The main events are happening on June 2nd-5th but the country’s shopkeepers are already getting us in the mood with fabulous window displays of all things British.
Don’t miss out – we have two styles of beautifully made bunting perfect for street parties – the original union jack and the new version alternated with crowns. Also, aprons for adults and children, lavender heart sachets, and for the tiniest Royalists in the family – bibs, sun hats, baby grows and jumpsuits. Something for everyone.
Stocks are good now and there’s more on the way to see us through to the Olympics and the continued spotlight on the British Isles – what a year! God save the Queen!

Ahoy, me hearties!

by powellcraft on March 29, 2012

We’re generally pretty keen on pirates in Powell Craft being Cornwall-based but are especially excited due to the release of the new Aardman Animations film “The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists” which is released this weekend just in time for schools breaking up for the Easter holidays. It looks like a hoot!

We have lots of gorgeous Pirate goodies. For the tinies, we have cot blankets, rattles, bibs, sun hats and jumpsuits and for the bigger Pirate fans there are wooden pegs, rag dolls, cushions, a fabulous appliqued bed quilt and bunting.  The new hooded jumper shape had been selling well and  is available up to age 4-5 years – perfectly for keeping cosy after a day looking for treasure on the beach!
